The title of the thread was mostly inspired because I love 50s music (and am currently listening to the 50s iTunes Radio station that will occasionally quit on me) and Louis Armstrong sings that song so beautifully.
Anyway!
I'm hedgewitch and I started listening to MIHH about a week ago and have probably listened to about 3 podcasts a day. Unemployment gifts you with an incredible amount of time where you don't have to change into real people clothes and go outside. I've got dysthymia (mild, continuous depression), Complex PTSD (though I think it might be Borderline), Adjustment Disorder, and Relational Disorder, all according to my therapist after only a few sessions. We haven't even touched a lot of my other issues, which include sexual intimacy, anxiety, and gender/sexuality identity. I could write a book with all the issues and potentially where I got all my issues from. Sadly, I haven't been able to stay with a therapist for longer than a year due to moving, so we never get to see the full range of my issues or what to do about them.
Other than my myriad of mental issues, I live in LA with all the other 20-somethings who want a career in entertainment but no one will hire us due to a Catch-22. I don't have many friends in the area and have struggled making and maintaining friends out here as well as from back home. I have a cat named Simon who's adorable and such an asshole. (He's a 10 in both categories.) I adore television, particularly sci-fi/fantasy and comedy.
If you live in LA (especially near Burbank) and ever want to meet up for coffee and commiserate/celebrate/hug, message me!

Re: What a Wonderful World
Hey! Welcome.
I hope your employment situation works out. In the meantime, it can be a good chance to catch up on podcasts and listen to music.
I hope you and your cat have a good week.
