Happy light

Post by serenity88 »

Does anyone here use light therapy- happy lights- to help with depression and/or SAD? If so, did it help you?

Thanks,

I am not really sure how much it helps. I tried it last year. November through February is usually very difficult for me. I think if you can get on a regular sleep schedule it can be really helpful. Mine would come on in the morning and i would just pull the covers over my head. I would give it a shot though, because it is not a huge investment for something that can potentially improve your life.

I used to start going to the tanning salon in February until the end of March. It helped me tremendously. Not to say I am ad advocate for tanning, per say, but the UV lights were amazing.

I felt wonderful the rest of the day. It totally helped me!
