Ep 142: Scott Thompson
Great pod this week! A history lesson in gay rights in the 70's and 80's and how wrong it is that "being gay" was included in the DSM until recently. There is a lot more to the interview and it really made my Friday morning pretty fantastic. Paul please do a part 2 with Scott the mix of entertainment and information was really top notch.

I really enjoyed this episode. It would be great to have a follow-up with Scott where it's just him and Paul. Maybe he'd be a little more comfortable without the audience.
Two things: are Canadian audiences always that quiet? You barely knew anyone else was there! Secondly, did Scott have pneumonia or something? God, he was wheezing and breathing so hard, it sounded painful!

This was one of the best episodes of any podcasts I have ever heard. I can't believe Scott was so open and honest and in front of an audience no less. This episode made me reflect upon how KITH, and Scott in particular, were incredibly important in the formation of my sense of humor and love of character-based comedy. That he is also an extremely strong, fearless dude who clearly puts so much of himself into everything he does is inspiring beyond belief.

Absolute best podcast to date!
I knew Scott Thompson would be incredible and it was so much more than I could have imagined.
It brought back all kinds of memories for me as well when KITH was on...I love that show.
Please do a part 2.
Yep, most of time you will fin Canadian audiences pretty quiet.
When I move to Ottawa from Toronto - I was shocked when at my first stadium concert here (U2) almost everyone was sitting own rocking out in their seats.
I will add all bets are off in Montreal!

I just listened to this, and a great podcast.
When Scott Thompson was talking about how he perceived his cancer as a way of waiting for the right trauma, it reminded me of a conversation I heard on the woman who created 'The Vagina Monologues'. It would be interesting to see if medicine starts to link the emotional trauma we experience to our body's way of processing it. I've put the link below if anyone else wants to hear it.
