Queen City SkeeZe

Post by queencityskeeze »

Hi gang, my name is Chris, most people call me SkeeZe.

I live in Charlotte NC. I edit audio and video for a living, but my main passion is playing drums. I think I might be a workaholic. Not only do I work eight hours a day, but play in several bands, so spend most of my time after work at band practice. I also have started doing design work. In my mind, if I'm not working or doing something that yields a result or product, i'm wasting my time.

I'm 26, single (ladies...), and living with a roommate who is starting to annoy me.

I grew up a quiet child with one younger brother. my parents are still together. I had a very healthy and happy childhood and still maintain a good relationship with my family. I've always been a fairly moody kid and find myself annoyed with people and the world on a constant basis. i have a hard time accepting things as they are, and as a result, find myself constantly unhappy and unsatisfied.

I'm thrilled that i've found a safe place to share how I feel so i don't have to keep talking to my ex-girlfriends about how sad i am.

Hi SkeeZe,

I can relate to what you are saying and often feel annoyed with people I cross paths with. I just started reading a book Paul recommends (A New Earth), and it explains a lot how to let that stuff go. I sure hope it helps me, and so far a lot of it makes sense.

This is a good safe place and I am glad you found it!

Queen City SkeeZe,

I ditto what ArtMart wrote. I immediately thought "A New Earth" is the PERFECT book for helping us navigate todays world. Don't let some of the new-agey language turn you off. It's a profound book that has really, really helped me be comfortable in my own skin, regardless of what's happening around me. I read a page or two every morning. Its very dense in terms of how deep some of the concepts are, so you don't really want to read it like a normal book. I'm starting to read it for the 3rd time. Its just a perfect morning meditation that helps me throughout the day. Good luck and thanks for introducing yourself.

Paul
