Episode 213: Tiffany Haddish - Or, "The Last Black Unicorn"

Post by Cheldoll »

Just finished last week's episode with Tiffany and I love her. The part of the interview that touched me the most was when she talked about suitcases and how important it was to have one. You could hear the emotion in her voice as she described using garbage bags to hold all her clothes when going to new foster homes and how the metaphor really hit deeply, making her evaluate all her possession and even herself as trash. It's such a simple thing, a suitcase, but it meant so much and even though I've never experienced what she's been through, I felt her pain.

Oh! And my favorite line of Paul's during this episode: "I don't look good in humility; I'm a winter."

Tiffany talking about the suitcase really stuck with me. It was heartbreaking.
