As a fully recovered "schizophrenic", and researcher on the subject, I can say that there are no instant "cures" or "treatments".
It really angers and saddens me to see so many threads on this here.
When there is some brain system that appears different, is this a diagnosis and a cause?
Couldn't the suffering itself cause the brain change?
The medical model, including genetics, brain differences, and instant "cures" like pills, magnets, and the like have never been proven.
In fact, many of these treatments actually cause more damage.

There is a lot of controversy and confusion.
The cause of suffering needs to be dealt with, and this is not an instant cure.
Mindfulness meditation can be helpful, but this does not happen in one sitting or in isolation from interactions with others.
