According to the Bell House website, doors open at 6 and the show starts at 7.
How does 4:30 -5 sound?

What are everyone's thoughts on this event?..
Before I share my own, I must say I'm regretting not having said "hi" to Paul (or anyone else on here for that matter). I just imagined myself saying, "I'm the one who sent you an email about ____" and bursting into tears, or just not saying anything and starting to cry.
On a side note, I had a very challenging time the previous day with immediate family, and I so appreciated hearing someone express how hard it is to relate to others and family / relationship experiences, and to hear an audience concur.

I had a really good time. I'm wasn't familiar at all with Lane going into this, but I thought she was a good guest. I liked that she called Paul out a couple of times when she felt he was being condescending. I said 'hi' to Paul afterwards, which was really nice. We bonded for a minute over our shared dismay at the death of the podcast Walking the Room (which Paul had been a guest on 4 or 5 times). He told me he was glad I was able to overcome my social anxiety to make it to the show. And I got two hugs.

I had a great time - it was cool meeting fellow listeners. And I got a hug from Paul.
Layla - you should have hung around after. Nothing wrong with bursting into tears.

I'm so jealous about this! This is one thing I miss about living in the NYC area. Lots of cool things can't/don't make it to down where I live.

Layla,
You went to the event though, that's something. I live fairly close to LA Podfest and talked myself out of going recently since I'm "too old". I'm actually around Paul's age so that's probably an irrational thought, not that it should matter anyway. Anyway, I'm giving you a pat on the back for going to the Bell House!
