The trip was wonderful. What an experience! Lots of bonding.

So, new wrinkle - I fell and broke my right elbow on Sunday. I am right handed and have motor skill problems with my left side. They just splinted it at the ER, so I am hopeful it won't be anything but waiting for healing.

My overwhelming feeling is mostly being stuck and dependent - specifically on my husband. All I can really do is stay in the moment and accept that this is where I am right now. I don't have a lot of anxiety at this point, restless if anything.

Oh no! Nooooo!

I am sorry to hear that.

Here is my playful prediction, offered kindly:

Some day this will be part of your “coming back” story:

Hey, strangers! I've been isolating lately. But you figured that out.

I start a job Monday. It's a call center. I'm not thrilled, but realistically, it's what I'm qualified to do. It's the kind of job I'm good at, but I also know the culture in most of these companies is shit.

The BIG lesson I'm watching out for with this is the "when to bail" moment.

I need to know when relationships are good for me and when they stop being good. It's been a bit of an unanswered question in my therapy journey. We'll see what the new and improved me does with it.

Glad to see your post, bgg, and hoping the job turns out to be a good one for you, at least for the near future. Glad you've got the time in therapy and some current support so that if it does get unhealthy for you, you'll know when it's time to leave.

Take care!
