I have intentions of posting in here at some point, but just wanted to recommend to anyone wandering through that has this as an issue the website livethroughthis.org. It's a site by former guest Dese'Rae L Stage(episode 185) that features photographs and stories of suicide attempt survivors.

Thanks Oak. I know the forum is not very active, but I know people do come and browse through the forum and I thought it might be useful to one of them sometime.

Thank you, Brownblob! I had never heard of livethroughthis... one of the greatest comforts to me when I was in the midst of a severe depression (and still every day) are stories of people surviving it and living through it. I hope others in crisis find this gem.
