The eighties were not a good decade for me. I also didn't like the music that was popular in the eighties, but this song is about as catchy and upbeat a song as has ever come along that can even make an old grump like me want to dance.

Been listening to African music, a lot from Mali.

Salif Keita has quite a repertoire - His voice and orchestrations can be soothing or exhilarating, depending on what's needed at the moment

Love the guitar work, vocals and xylophone-

This one has great rhythm and horn section-

Yeah, try not to do that again. Made me listen to Muddy Waters twice!

Littlest Birds is great. Wish I'd had the patience to learn an instrument - they look like they're having so much fun!

Have always loved Santana...
Here's Batuka. Killer rhythms and screaming guitars.

(Good for getting out of my head and playing air guitar -when no one's looking!

No one's good at Air Guitar! (Except in their own mind).

Johnny B Goode, yes.

More Santana guitar licks coming, but in the meantime have you seen Prince jam it on the RR Hall of Fame clip, starting at 3:29?

First four songs (first side) go really well together IMHO. Nice flow....

Starts with Batuka and ends with Toussaint L'Overture
