August and Everything After is one of my favorite albums. I like all the songs on it, but if I had to pick a favorite it would be Rain King.

It didn't surprise me too much when I heard that Adam Durwitz has struggled with serious mental illness.

It is a great album. Rain King is a beautiful song.
Not surprising to me either. I could relate to so much of it back then.
My favorite was Round Here. The dreamy start of the lyrics then going into this tale of the suicidal Maria.
