I am glad your session went so well. I hope the CBT is helpful in moving forward.

Your hangover is to be expected too. Don’t begrudge yourself the right to react strongly.

And you’re right about grief. It doesn’t go away as such? You just become less burdened by its presence. And more wise by its lessons. And closer to the general population; those who’ve come through it.

The only clue I can offer is, take your foot off the pedal.

Thank you for the update, Oak. Sometimes therapy is discomforting, painful, exhausting rather than soothing. I commend you for persevering and opening up to your therapist.

Thank you for the advice and encouragement, friends. It has really helped me.

Since then:

My CBT exercises are going well. In tomorrow's session I hope to get a bit more grounded in my counselor's perception and experiences with CBT, so I can move forward with a firm understanding of its foundations.

Also, I'm hoping to excavate any remaining grief, or examined trauma, that we didn't cover last week. I want to get this all out.
