Hi Manny Moe,
The meditation app I use happens to be doing a self-compassion series this month. It has been mentioned several times that research shows that self-compassion helps with long-lasting change in habits. They refer to the work of Kristin Neff and other researchers.
I would also like to hear more about this process and the definition of super-choices.
Wishing you more self-compassion this week regardless of other outcomes.

Hi Rivergirl, and Beany, and Oak!
I am thinking about Oak's spoon theory https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spoon_theory . There is a part of me that is scared of spoon theory, because it worries that this is just another thing to beat myself up over. Self-compassion is the key, but it is so hard. What I can Super-Choice just doesn't make sense in the absence of self-compassion, because how can you make a free choice inside of a hostage situation, where the mean part of your mind is holding the childlike part of your mind hostage.
