This was a good episode for me, lots of things resonated.
And great title for a book - straight to the point, right?!

Worth a second listen! His notes-to-self when in the depths (@ min 54:30) have some real gems;

"You are on another planet.....others have been here.... a dark dark land, but with a population of millions."
"Things aren't going to get worse. You want to kill yourself- That is as low as it gets. There is only upwards from here."
"You hate yourself - That is because you are sensitive...."
....
....
" Minds have their own weather systems. You are in a hurricane. Hurricanes run out of energy eventually. Hold on."
".... The pain tells you it will last. Pain lies. Ignore it...."

Because it's "unnatural" to want anything else?

In the natural world (See all the webcams available on the Explore.org site), all our fellow creatures are constantly working at it and struggling for it's continuation..... even at the end- however that comes....

Thought he was an interesting guest and I'm considering ordering his book. I have a negative brain, so I'm sure it can counter argue any point he makes, but still may be interesting to read.
