Here you go, Mental Fairy!

1. Primary care physician: While they got me into a Zoom session the same day, the NP did not find compelling evidence to prescribe me the antibiotics. While I was polite (they do prescribe my Buspar, after all), I kept thinking to myself "Second opinion, second opinion, second opinion."

2. Dermatologist: She stated that the rash, or bite or whatever, is almost certainly not Lyme.

I can't say I'm thrilled with either, but to get another second opinion is not in the cards for now.

However, you can believe I'll be on the lookout for any symptoms. If I do have any symptoms, I'll be friendly but focused on advocating for care. I've scheduled to check for a rash every third day for the next month.

I say this because Dr. Google states that Lyme doesn't always have a bullseye rash.

Overall I'm not pleased with this (just prescribe me the antibiotics!), but I can tolerate it for now. But if there are symptoms, I start squawking.
