Friends, I went on a trip for work late last week, had a good experience, and want to journal about it today (Sunday).
I’m scared. Help!
(Btw, there is something I’m scared to admit about that happy experience. I shared with my counselor yesterday. It is good. And scary.)

Re: Scared of journaling. Help!
Throw yourself with no pre-thought into a timed 5 minutes of stream-of-consciousness writing
Be sure to use that timer set for 5 minutes
And see what happens
Would be my advice
Good luck to you, Oak

Hi Oak
Journal time for you ah! Tried it and yes I agree with Manuel Moe. Set a timer. Be honest and be brave.
There is something about saying stuff to yourself in your head and then seeing it on paper.
People do it for a month then burn it. I’ve known someone to keep books year but year and look back.
Sadly I used to do it wish my eating habits for the specialist and it become very difficult to see what my brain and body was doing on so little food.
You may find it therapeutic so give it a go. What’s the worst that could happen?

Thank you, Manuel Moe and Mental Fairy!
I promptly implemented your advice, and it went okay.
I am still struggling to face the (good) thing that happened, but I’ll leave that for Future Oak.
In the meantime, I’m enjoying a lentil burrito and watching the NFL.
All’s well that ends well.
