Mental Fairy, thank you for sharing. I’m glad you got it all out.

I’m not sure what to say, but I’m glad you’re focusing on what is in front of you. Including helping the little bird.

You also mention the owl decoration; between that and your dear ducks, I wonder if you have a special affinity for birds.

Hi Oak

For years I’ve had an interest in owls.
I personally have never brought anything with owls on it but everyone else does.
My bookmarks, my book ends that support my books and all sorts of little owls end up being gifted to me. Currently my neighbours have a going joke and place little toy ducks around the property and move them to mess with my head!

They came over the other day to play cornhole again and I went to the bathroom, the moment I reached for the toilet paper the roll let out a squeak as one of them has put a miniature duck toy in the toilet roll.
I left the house this morning and there was a little duck on the windowsill in stairwell and another on the steps leading down to the garage.

I think the boys are secretly in on it as I went to get ink for printer and I reached into my handbag and it squeaked again.

We don’t have owls here like they do overseas. We have morepork birds. I’ve only ever seen one and i immediately stopped walking and we looked at each other for about 10 minutes. It was the most beautiful bird I have ever seen in my life. If I could I would have an owl in every room.

I can absolutely understand why people bird watch. It’s a animal of beauty and inquisitiveness.

So far I’ve counted nine around the house or in the garden.

Oh the little duck!

This made me smile 🙂

Also, Mental Fairy, a question:

At my first crown appointment tomorrow (Thursday), I expect they’ll give me a temporary crown.

If I am feeling better, is Saturday (48 hours) too soon to do a 5k?

Edit to add:

If it helps any, here is a gif of the tooth (11?) in question:

Hi Oak

Oh it’s tooth 11. Front central tooth. It will be fine to do exercise yes. No chewy sweets or hard biting. If you have apples or anything like carrots or hard things please cut up and chew on back teeth. No tearing things open with you teeth please.

Temp crowns are temp only so respect and care taken until permanent crown on. If you floss them place floss down between teeth and pull sideways not downwards.

Thank you for the insight, Mental Fairy 🙂

It turns out that due to (1) the diligence of my beautiful endodontist and (2) the purported strength of the tooth, I just needed a permanent filling, and not a crown, thank heaven.

Here is footage of me enjoying my new filling:
