I started a new little experiment yesterday.
Whenever I changed position - from online to off, or between different activities - I set a 2 minute timer. I’d run the timer and just do nothing.
It felt intuitive to try it out. It was surprisingly effective; there was some profound element in it too. I felt my brain relaxing a little each time.
2 minutes is long enough for a shift to occur and short enough to not feel stuck or overwhelmed. I felt a little more ready and able to choose when I started up again after the timer.
Hopefully I can carry it forward; at least when I am not with others.
