fear of asking women out on dates

Post by manuel_moe_g »

I remember my great shame from my fear of asking women out on dates

it brought me great shame in high school, college, and as a young adult

but, hilariously, i now realize i was struggling so terribly back then, it was a blessing to not subject my awfulness on a young woman back then

Speaking for both of us, Manuel Moe, if I may:

We were not good men.

Or, to put the best spin on it, we were in the process of becoming better men.

Like you, I cringe at who I was. I had a girlfriend who loved me unconditionally, when I was still drinking, and I was callous to her. Her love was beautiful, and for her sake I'm glad I didn't marry her. She deserved better.

I send some forgiveness to you.

Don’t wait for perfect before you start to wading in.

Wade in first and do your best to stay ready.

That’s what I tell myself in any case.
