This sounds familiar.
Meditation on my yoga mat was a daily thing for me. I would try fight something, emotionally it was flood in and pass over. Then the letting go, not sure what it was…grief? Control? Understand?

It left a lasting effect for the day…. Have strayed from it recently as it is confronting.

I don’t know what I’m saying.
Makes sense to me..

About #1 - Sometimes we don't even realize how tense we really are...

About #2 - Thought of the old "It's water under the bridge"
New turbulence & eddys are waiting their turn.

The meditation is allowing me to see small snippets of out-of-control behavior in others. It hurts to watch. But I can see it’s not directed at me even though I am affected by it. It frightens me having the capacity to see without reacting. It frightens because I feel forced to help and helpless to help. At the same time it’s a lot to be vulnerable and protect myself and hold a space; even for a moment.

Especially holding it for someone acting out aggressively.

And with the awareness that I only get there half of the time.

Breathing helps.

I'm no expert, but this sounds like varsity level practice to me. Just thinking what the world would be like if more of us could achieve this even part of the time.

Cheers,

I think my brain might have started working how it’s supposed to. At least in small pockets throughout the day.

These are moments of lucidity. It’s like people suddenly see me and act like a normal person in front of me. At other times I’ll put a task together and notice that it’s well weighted and the timing seems just so.

Or my emotional responses seem proportionate to the present circumstances and shift as circumstances shift.

It comes and goes. The sky is just not always falling down. And the faces are not always turned away.
