Agreed with our good friend Troebia.

I also send wishes for a speedy recovery.

Morning lovely people. My mission today; invent a bra for one handed people. Invent self making beds and mind reading objects. Buttons, don’t get me started. Not allowed to drive so Matt is my taxi. It is warm here currently so fans are on in every room.

Hope everyone’s Christmas went well. What did everyone get up too? Anyone going away ?

Thanks for asking!

It was quiet and lonely.

I have been careful, however, to spend time in three activities that have always accepted me warmly and unconditionally:

1. This forum.
2. Barre class (I was careful to go the day before and the day after Christmas.)
3. Listened to bluegrass. Bluegrass accepts me as I am.

Also, since I’m off work for another week, I picked up my guitar. While I have very modest skills, if encouraged I’ll post in the forum a first line of a fingerpicking old song.

Oak, I'm glad you are, too. A big holiday hug from Spain!

Yesterday I was at a sketch meet in Valencia. My wife and I decided to go by local train, and it was packed. The USK group was its usual mix, ranging from people you'd want to know more and people you'd rather not. Somehow my new relaxation skills helped me to tune out and relax while drawing.

We later went shopping for a sweater for my wife. The city centre has several streets with luxury boutiques and you can see the whole spectrum of consumption madness. I can only really relate to men my own age, and most were wearing expensive designer puffer jackets with a certain logo on the back as well as on the breast pocket area. Maybe it made them happy and superior to see me in my 20 year old fleece. I wouldn't care, except it's another symptom the world is actually going to hell.

Hello Mental Fairy,

I hope your hand is healing well. I imagine that typing is difficult, not to mention trying to text...
What kind of PT will they have you doing?

And an old Vaudeville joke comes to mind -

"Doctor, will I be able to play the piano after this surgery?"

"Why yes, of course."

"Hey that's great! I was never able to play it before!" ;)

Hahahaha brilliant.

Well I’ve woken with lots of muscle twitching in palm. Thumb is numb as numb can be.
Hospital called yesterday and want to start PT today. Not sure what I’ll be doing, going up there at 8am. Seems somewhat urgent to be doing this right after surgery. I assume it’s to get the nerves doing their healing thing.

A friend insisted on walking with me yesterday. I absolutely hated it. So many people about the place. Everyone is fixated on the yearly Pukekura Park lights. Cruze ship came in yesterday just to see them.

On the plus side, we have woken to rain and thunder. Whoop! My kind of day. I should have been a zombie or vampire.

Better get a wiggle on, takes me ages to get ready now.

Hugs to all.
