Dear Vendra64:

It's been a long time since I posted. Thank you for your note.

I haven't had the chance to look for other posts from you, so I don't know your story. But I would encourage you to give therapy a try, as your first step in seeking professional help.

Please don't put too much into my story -- it's a reflection of my own mental illness, and the particular therapist I worked with and her failings as a person and a professional.

I was able to find another therapist who's been extremely patient and helpful. That's the rule, rather than the exception, and I'd encourage you to seek out help. If you do find yourself with someone who isn't a fit, try to find another. There are many therapists, with many different approaches, and I'm confident you'll find someone to help.

Good luck in your journey.

imr
May you find rest in a peaceful heart.

I have not posted before.. I am in the mode
Of research; ...do i go expose my feelins and one
Day discover the person I pay to provide
a professional skill of trust is a psycho, or opines
I am boring or dislikes me and quits. Or maybe
Just as what happens- boredom is sometimes anger;
What if the therapist is impatient because he
Or she overcame mental obstacles - if a patient is
In a race inside a therapist's head-how does one know?
Did you know? When you began /you paid your therapist
(I assume) ; there are many stories out there such as yours;
Therapy should come with certain guarantees
If i decide to begin therapy, i will demand a
Contract, a lease of some sort. Doctors require
Arbitration agreements signed-why cant patients require
A care contract that defines the relationship-and the exit strategy,
Or provides therapist/patient reviews
I know insurance companies make demand
Specifics in order for a medical doctor to be
Insured- maybe for therapists its less restrictive
Well must get packing for my trip. Hey maybe a care
Contract will begin a new movement to free up both
Doctors and patients from big pharma and big insurance.

Imr- one more thought- why did you apologize
But you never got one back. Maybe your ex
Therapist was right for the ending to help you
Maybe it was mutual - you got to an issue that
Your ex therapist also had so you were discontinued
