Word.

So true.

You may as well get it all out. An ugly truth is better than a pretty lie.

You keep being honest, with yourself and others, and you’ll make it out okay on the other side.

Said another way: there’s no denying you’re in a mental/existential/soul-development crisis or spiritual-growth time. And that is no fun. As long as your face it squarely, as you have been, you’ll be okay. A few scars, but you’ll make it.

The weather changed suddenly tonight with a drop of 12°C, sudden rain and hurricane gusts that unhinged the mosquito netting of the open windows with a bang. I keep repeating a watercolor sketch of a village alley, over and over with a dogged determination that I had not been capable of before. My little universe is contained in the brush, the palette and the paper. There is no failing, only doing, doing, doing.

Lol be careful what you wish for, MF :D
I sat down and did these small sketches directly with ink: Oak, you, snoringdog and MM. I took inspiration from reference images found on the web. It's meant for fun more than as actual caricatures. I realize I haven't been imagining your physical appearances until now and it's not important in order to enjoy your company.

“Oh, I’ve got the leaves!” -my first reaction. Thank you for creating these, Troebia.

Also, I hope things get a little better for you soon: you’ve been facing some heavy things the last few weeks.

It's been rather intense. Yesterday included:
  • A visit to a dental office and getting a very depressing assessment of my teeth. (--)
  • Yet more negative thoughts on the state of the grove and the vegetable garden. (-)
  • Repeating more watercolors in frustration, without "getting there" (+-)
  • Waking up in the morning and touching my wife's cool, smooth thighs. It's the first day in three months that I don't wake up drenched in sweat. (++)

Wow, they are so beautiful. My gosh you have a gift. Absolutely gorgeous.

Your challenges are difficult, however if I’ve learnt one thing over the time of being on here it’s a little easier having you all on here to help through events or feelings. I would not of been able to do half the things I set out to do without the team on here. I honestly feel like I carry you all in my pocket. It’s rather empowering.

As for the dental visit, just know if there is any stage of infection and gum disease that will be effecting your immune system and be contributing to feeling of unwell. Teeth can be replaced with many options available. You just need to take the time to let the mouth heal. The rest will follow.

Hang in there and thank you for being on the forum, your a wonderful person

I also feel that this outlet has been very important for me lately. The days have their ups and (many) downs, but I know I can vent here or simply read, and somebody's posts will make me feel better, or at least not alone with my thoughts. Cheers to all of you.
