Hello all.
I suck at these intros so bare with me...
31, uk. Been dealing with steadily worsening mental health, with short periods of less suck in-between, for about 17yr now:-(
Officially diagnosed with depression but if anyone knows anything about the NHS....mental health care is criminal in the uk. Recently been to my doctor and after I explained in depth everything, she seemed to point towards bp2 which is something Iv suspected.
racing thoughts, negative voices, suicidal, self harm after long period of not, not sleeping/sleep too much when I finally pass out, obsessively focus on something usually creative then when I drop..nothing. theres other stuff but I struggle focusing on my thought at the moment so Ill leave it there. not doing well
Have appointment with the psych-doc 2nd june which is amazing...consider it was 3 months ago I went to the doctor.
first found the podcast during a low period and enjoyed it, but when I was "well" lost touch with it. Iv gained a lot from listening to the episodes, I often feel a weight has been lifted in the same way I feel after counselling. Iv had to pause it while driving due to tearing up sometimes but thats ok:-)
Hope all of you are ok and look forward to more episodes.
regards
Matt H
