hypersensitivity and sex

Post by Eljefetacoma »

Hi. I've been struggling with an intermittent sex drive since I started dating at 18. Its made relationships so difficult. I read recently that bipolar disorder can cause hypersensitivity to touch, which may be the issue. However, at the same time my desire to masturbate, watch porn, or engage in sexual behavior completely disappears as well. Is there any way to solve this? I feel I've tried everything, from communicating, lowering stress, having therapy, light touching aversion therapy, and much more. EMDR and medication as well and still nothing works.

This issue makes it so I can only have sex a few times a month, which is causing a major strain for my relationships. I'd give up sex altogether but it would be lame because sometimes I want it really badly. What can I do?
