Steak sauce makes me happy.

Today I was getting HALT. Or "hangry" as the kids say.

I put a steak in the oven, followed by those frozen steak fries, and sprinkled some Lawry's on it all. Once it was done, steak sauce. Then a pop and my dose of Buspar.

Why is steak sauce so good?

I don't know.

I do enjoy it.

OK, I know I could google it, but what is steak sauce?
When I ate meat, my steak would be so rare it had its own blood sauce! (sorry, that's gross)

There's a fifth taste sensation call "umami", like savory.

Not necessarily meat or protein based. Cooked tomatoes, soy-based like miso soup, others...

I encourage you, Heather, to pick up a bottle of A1 sauce (the store brands are just as good). You can also dip the steak fries in A1. So good.

I also recommend Montreal Steak Seasoning, though day to day I'm a Lawry's man.
