Hi all,
I've had 3 out of 3 people report very good experiences with genetic testing to point out meds that will / won't work well for a particular person.
Admittedly my sample size is very small. Would anyone here care to share their own experiences?
Thanks!

I hate to be the negative one, but I had it done after I had basically tried everything. My shrink said everything on it was normal and it didn't really tell him anything. From my reading the test doesn't tell you what will work. It more tells you which meds you might need a higher dose of or that might be less likely to work because of the way your body metabolizes them.

Hello Techchick,
Can you elaborate at all about the results you heard about?
Personalized Medicine (pharmacogenomics) holds such promise, but biology is so, so, hard!
Layers of interaction and cause & effect.
(And this being the USA, the temptation to over-promise is so strong).
First link that popped up on the FDA website-
