Re: Skinny VS fat
Hi Cherry, Increase the number of meals and eat more snacks. Increase caloric intake and include smarter food more in your daily meals. Drink energy fluids, increase workouts, lift weights and take supplements. I don't think she was asking for this kind of advice. She wants to be accepted as is and...

Re: Advertising
I'm positive that Paul is trying everything. And as I'm sure you've heard...he suffers from depression. That he can even keep the interviews going when he's not feeling well is truly inspiring. I'm working under the assumption that he's running on all possible cylinders (given some will be unavailab...

Re: fantasy life as a child (re: from RU interview)
I didn't start fantasizing about men (famous men) "taking me away" until very recently, probably in the past five years. And I'm 29. I had no idea this was happening because I was depressed! But when I was growing up I would get lost in my own head all the time. I started wondering what it...

Re: Awkward
@EliCash, I'm pretty sure you just opened a little door in my mind and took a stroll. That is EXACTLY how I feel. I spent about three weeks in December on my couch going through that cycle. I did, however, manage to get through the entire series of Friday Night Lights and through a couple of seasons...

Re: Need so much intense motivation to accomplish so little!
First, I would like to say that I relate to this on a very, very deep level. I'll say to myself "Just get this one thing done, it's not that hard, and you can say something moved forward...even if it was just a little bit." My "magic pill" for a long time was planning. If I can j...

I also would like a clarification, but I'm not sure if it's in the same way as dare I say it. I think he means he was and is a mess (it's a British phrase) but I'm just not sure how that quote to your therapist means you were a mess. Those are some of the same things I said when I went into therapy....

Re: Awkward
Hello again! I've prided myself of always being 'in control', Wow I could have written that sentence myself! When I first went to therapy I literally said, "I know exactly what I'm feeling, I just don't know what to do with all of these emotions." I was SO UNBELIEVABLY wrong. Looking back ...

Re: Awkward
Hi justdom! ::waving and smiling:: I've gone through a handful of therapists in my time. Most of them I only saw for one session because I realized early on it was not going to work. This is partly because it was through my university's counseling services so switching from one therapist to another ...

Re: Extreme frustration
I noticed a couple of things you said that may be causing you some extra frustration on top of your father's behavior. Other people look forward to/enjoy being with their dad, not me. This is something I do too. I assume everyone else has this perfectly "normal" life and I have to hide my ...

Re: Teresa Strasser
I can't even tell you how much I related to this podcast. I've listened to it at least three times. I had no idea that other people had those types of stories with food. I don't think my addiction is as bad as hers but I definitely have to be extremely careful what kind of food I have in my house be...
