Re: A little less lonely...
Hi Jen! I also have social anxiety and depression, no fun. My husband is the same as yours-- very loving and supportive. He asks a lot of questions, but definitely doesn't totally get it. Sometimes I wish he could understand more, but then I'm glad that at least one of us has it together.

Re: love avoidance
You definitely need to get out of that relationship. If you know you're not a good match, and you're not happy, why waste your time with it. If you're looking for permission, it's definitely granted. It totally sucks being alone after a long relationship, but there's also some relief if it the relat...

Thanks. My psychiatrist told me that Lamictil is associated with cleft palate in infants, so I definitely want to avoid that!

Tapering Down
I have depression, social anxiety, and the occasional panic attack. My husband and I want to start trying to children in the spring, which I'm all for. (I think I have the normal amount of anxiety about having children, worrying about responsibility, or fucking them up, or whatever...I have more anx...

Re: shitbags
I think that's totally normal. (Well, maybe not normal...probably none of us are normal...but not uncommon at least. :D ) I have an obsessive thought that's constantly running through my head: "I'm sorry for everything I've ever done." As if I can atone for whatever the fuck it was I did, ...

Welcome!
I'm so sorry for everything you've gone though. It's great that you're working through your trauma and with your disorder.
I'm sure you bring a great perspective to your therapy.

Re: My therapists think I was abused as a kid...
I think our parents affect us more than we realize, even if they're good people for the most part. I find a lot of people, including myself, say things like "My parents were great except...and then there was....but it was only a few times..." When I was working with a therapist, I had alwa...
