Venting Session
I went on vacation in Paul's hometown of Chicago, Illinois. Vacations should be relaxing, fun and an escape from reality, right? Well 9 days away from home and co-irkers (I discovered this new term and LOVE it), and it was only somewhat relaxing. The first two days back, I cried in the shower and ju...

Re: First time going to Therapy
You should commend yourself for even looking in the first place. Seeking help is probably one of the hardest things to do in life. You shouldn't be concerned with being "labeled." Think of any issues as your foe that you will conquer through therapy. In the end, you will come out the winne...

Re: Going Nowhere
Thanks for the support all!
I must say I am feeling much better and I guess I had a few days where I was really feeling down. I'm back up again, though. My greatest fear is being alone, but I don't even know why I have that fear when I know I have this forum!

Re: Narcissism
I just realized how shyness can be narcissistic. It's like I spend so much time trying to go unnoticed. For instance, I put look down when I see someone approaching who I might know and who might stop to talk to me. I hate taking pictures, so it annoys me that there is a surge in self-photos floatin...

Re: Going Nowhere
So, for the last few weekends I've been on a giant mood swing. I laugh one minute, cry the next few hours, and so on and so forth. Yesterday I broke down and cried 'til I fell asleep. I was dreading coming in to work today. But then I had a glimmer of hope when I looked at the job board. There was a...

Going Nowhere
The biggest pain in my life right now (aside from the being friendless issue) is my job. I worked hard to get where I was, then in April, got demoted due to some re-structuring within the company. I hated my previous boss and my lazy co-workers. In my new role (new boss, new co-workers), I feel like...

Re: Had Another One of Those Moments
That little voice in your head can be so powerful. I am so guilty of listening to that voice, so I know how you feel. I'd say one of the best things you can do is stop what you're doing -- take a break. Take some time to write down your thoughts, pound a pillow, go to a quiet room and breathe slowly...

Re: Bald Bryan
Bald Bryan is an inspiration. He is a survivor. Everyone can learn something from him. I don't know what Aceman would do w/o Bald Bryan and his drops! Yes, I feel deeply depressed sometimes, but those drops make me smile every time.

Re: Small Talk, Never Been Molested, Etc.
Maybe this is kind of twisted, but I guess I can laugh about it now. I can be very scatter brained and completely forget stuff. I am the Queen of losing things -- temporarily (keys, comb, etc.) and permanently (friends). So, I was about 14 and it was summer. No school meant staying home with my mom ...

Re: All my friends live in my computer
Welcome and glad you enjoy the podcast. When I saw the subject, I felt like it was something I would've posted. I like the A-Z about yourself; great introduction. If you're a fan of the Adam Carolla Show, you'll probably enjoy the episode with Teresa Strasser, if you haven't already heard it. I hope...
