My first piece of advice would be to find new friends. You will probably never quit until you decide that you don't want that in your
life anymore. Having a bunch of friends getting drunk in front of you is not going to help.

Great to hear you both quit, I smoked for over thirty years and just celebrated my second year free from cigs.
But I have to admit it was the hardest thing I have ever done.

It sound like your therapy is helping, the difference between your last post compared to your first is striking. I don't think you
ever figure out life completely. In my case I think the journey is more important than the destination.

We all have our problems so don't feel like your alone in the world. The important thing is how we choose to deal
with them and not let them destroy our lives. Even if you choose to not deal with them your still making a choice.

I agree that our childhood experiences do to some degree control how we live our life. However
there comes a point when you have to let all that go and say I'm in charge what direction my life to
going to go from now on.
