Re: Sick but don't know how, what it means what to do
Ok make an appointment with that doctor tell them what's going on. 4 months seems to me (a non doctor) to be a reasonable time frame for side effects from tapering off a mood stabilizer. Therefore the doc should have tips based on the knowledge they have about the medication they gave you. I'm not s...

Re: Parent
Do any others on this forum deal with chronic illnesses that require repeated hospitalization and release because there is nothing the doctors can actually do but balance your various levels ie creatinine or enzymes and hope your organs can bounce back? I talked to my dad on the phone last night and...

Update
Well it's been a while since I've posted on this subject and things are getting worse. My dad is now not eating and resorting to Ensure and other similar products for nourishment. His organs are failing faster (kidneys, pancreas, and his stomach can't hold solids.) I talked to him today and he's bee...

Re: Episode 202: Gillian Callahan Chachere
The therapy exercise with the baby in the palm sounds very similar to to some of the treatments I've done over that last few months in Acceptance therapy. These are very helpful and I was really in the moment as Gillian was relaying that experience.

Jimmy, dude, seriously? That's not trivial. When ever your body betrays you it's important.

Re: Episode 201: Bulemiia/Anorexia w/ Noemi
This episode was very sad. Noemi was still in the throws of something huge. I hope she's doing well now. It is very hard to listen to someone who is still using bad coping skills just to get by. (I'm not saying they are bad guests or bad people. it's just hard to listen and not be triggered by empat...

Re: 100% Agreement
As the Holiday break comes, so does a break from weekly therapy until mid January. How do others deal with this lack of professional support? I usually have a period of falling back to old patterns then a month of wasted sessions trying to get back to where I left off. Which must really frustrate th...

Re: Parent
Well the cycle has begun again. My dad is in the ER and the doctors do what they can to stabilize him and release. This situation sucks.

Re: Episode 198: Samantha C.
Oh yeah I almost forgot. There was one point made while I was listening that really hit me: Parents out there of kids with disabilities/issues what have you discounting their sex lives is bullshit. That sort of thinking will eventually lead to your kids not talking to you about anything.
