Re: My Fears

You are so welcome! I really do understand what it's like being anxious and fearful and I know we can't just switch it off--if only we could!! Yes, the news can be so upsetting. Even tho I have no children of my own, it really gets to me when I hear that yet another monster has harmed a child. I can...

Re: My Fears

(((Amy))) I think I am hearing a lot about low self-esteem here! Not a good-enough mom? I bet your sons wouldn't agree! Afraid your husband will realize he's "too good for you"? You may well have said that to him, and I bet every time you say it he's astonished all over again!! I do get wh...

Re: I Hate This!!!

Fifthsonata---thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words! I feel for you too--I was once dragged screaming and kicking from my house, across the front yard (in front of the neighbors!) into a police car to be "escorted" to a hospital. I agree, it's pretty much the ultimate in hu...

Re: Borderline Personality Disorder

Uhh-- feed the trolls ? AnArtist, I can agree with the majority of what you said, and I apologize for confusing you with someone else...then again I'm new here. You are clearly capable of writing fair-minded and eloquent posts, but a remark like that seems unworthy of someone with your command of th...

Re: The main problem

Spoken like a true gentleman!

Maybe you could learn to make some basic distinctions between people with an illness and, err, "controlling assholes" by doing some in-depth research--not just listening to podcasts.

Re: Borderline Personality Disorder

Herself?! (Somehow that strikes me as a bit narcissistic, but whatever...) I find it fascinating that you accuse me of "lashing out", yet apparently you're perfectly comfortable with another poster referring to ppl with BPD as (and I quote) "controlling assholes". If that kind of...

I Hate This!!!

I've been dealing with some kind of mental illness (call it what you will) for over 40 years now, and I am in worse shape than ever, in spite of a whole raft of psychiatrists, therapists, and pretty much every kind of therapy and medication known to science. I've also been hospitalized (usually invo...

Re: Borderline Personality Disorder

Correction, Paul. You (unnecessarily) deleted the podcast because you decided that the interview was "too controversial". According to whom--your email buddies? And while you criticize Peterson for her "treating ppl with BPD like 5-year-olds", by removing the podcast you treated ...
