Re: Any schizoaffective people?

What's up? I was only hospitalized once when I was 20. I was on Lithium for about 4 years. I never heard voices or had visual hallucinations. I struggled with hypomania until I hit about 32 when I started taking B12 and fish oil. The thought, "hmmm... I think I'm feeling Bipolar" that I wo...

Diet for mania?

Re: Relationship Under Fire

Re: Menstruation relating to Bipolar

Does the crying stop quickly after your period? Is there a consistent pattern? My personal theory is progesterone drops too low causing a temporary depression. http://www.healthline.com/health/womens-health/low-progesterone#LowProgesterone2 https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/48/Progest...

Re: Menstruation relating to Bipolar

I suggest a low dose (50mg) generic Zoloft 2 or 3 days before the PMDD kicks in. I know this might conflict with BP meds, but it's worth a trying for a month or two.

Re: Lithium and Alcohol consumption

"If you drink alcohol, you can continue to drink some alcohol while taking lithium but drinking alcohol can make you dehydrated. If this happens, the lithium level may rise in your body and reach a toxic level." My feeling about it... alcohol is a depressant. If you feel manic (rapid speec...
