Re: Stuck in my head and wanting to jump out of my body.
Thanks for the reply, manuel_moe_g! I'm doing somewhat better now, and seeing my therapist later this afternoon. Going to try to get started with actually talking through some of these issues so they don't keep showing up spontaneously in inconvenient contexts...scary but necessary.

Re: Is Your Sexual Identity Hard to Define?
Just checked back up on this thread after posting in it and then forgetting I'd done so...wow, almost a year ago? I *may* have slight commitment/forgetfulness issues :? . It was quite reassuring to read all of the replies from people who are going through similar things, and to be reminded that we a...

Stuck in my head and wanting to jump out of my body.
Title pretty much describes it in a nutshell. Today I've got all my so-called healthy coping mechanisms turned up to 11 and it's still only barely and temporarily working. :x (Essentially, I am not the greatest in social situations, and did something that in the long run is going to make little to n...

Re: Is Your Sexual Identity Hard to Define?
Thanks for creating this thread Paul! :) I agree, this is an endlessly fascinating topic, and something I've been thinking about a lot recently for various reasons. I've identified as, and am pretty much assumed by everyone who meets me to be, a heterosexual female for pretty much my entire life. Ho...

Re: I'm getting help: underearning.
Hi Oak, Was just reading through your posts - sorry to hear you're going through this. I'm not sure I have much useful advice to offer, as job applications usually seem to provoke a reaction somewhere between panic, despair, and confusion for me...but I hope everything goes well, and I must say I'm ...

Re: Long-time listener, first-time caller...uh, poster?
Thanks for the advice and support. I've tried reaching out, but can never quite get to the point of taking action...I always convince myself that anything I do will make matters worse (I have a great imagination when it comes to thinking up absurd worst-case scenarios), and usually I just end up dri...

Re: Where do I start?
Welcome from a fellow newbie! :) I'm also 29, and I totally relate to (several of you who've posted here!) on the feeling of not knowing how to be a grownup and not having had any real role models in this regard. It's like everyone else was born pre-programmed with an instruction manual, and I not o...

Long-time listener, first-time caller...uh, poster?
So, where to start? I've been listening to the show for about a year, and lurking on the forums. I've been in therapy my whole life, on and off. I'm still not sure if it's helped or if I'm just broken beyond help. Was diagnosed with ADHD at about the age of 11, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder when ...
