Growing a thicker skin from bullies

Ever since the events of November last year, the bullies have been out in force. I'd been bullied all my childhood, and now all the trolls I've had to battle are bringing those memories back. I can still work at my job, but once that's over and I try to do anything fun, those trolls are back in my h...

clonazepam, ambien, trazodone, propranolol

hi guys! I'm on a combination of medications to help me sleep. For some weeks I've been having bad sleep problems accompanied by heart palpitations. The sleep disruptions range from inability to sleep at all to an interruption at 4-5am and inability to get back to sleep. The palpitations have defini...

Re: Racing heart, high blood pressure, desperate for answers

Thank you for the advice. I actually do have an allergy problem as well. I should let my doctor know. Just saw the doctor today. She'd taken blood tests when this first came up and found elevated thyroid levels. She increased my beta blockers to 40mg a night, allowing 50mg if it's really bad. I'm to...

Racing heart, high blood pressure, desperate for answers

Hi guys! I've had this problem for weeks now and was wondering if anyone else has. I've had depression and anxiety for years now. The doctors have me on a cocktail of Lamictal, Wellbutrin, and Latuda (a new one) for depression, and for anxiety and insomnia, I've been on Xanax, Ambien, and Trazodone....

I bet it's still Metallica and Iron Maiden lol. You can't get away from that time. That's when metal was at its finest!
LOL!

Re: What do you do to comfort yourself?

Pratuan, regarding your question: Why does listening to soft or soothing music NOT WORK when I have trouble falling asleep at night? A few people I asked said they can only fall asleep listening to heavy metal. Back when I asked about it, the heaviest bands out there were Metallica and Iron Maiden. ...

Re: Alienating myself....

Totally can relate. I've felt that way for years. Always abandoned by people I thought would care or call even once in a while. Worse: after weeks of abandonment, I would call their phones and yell FUCK YOU at the answering machines. BTW, please don't do that. It was a very low point in my life. Tho...

Re: How do you look at yourself in the mirror?

As an early developer, I had breasts by the time I was 10 and a lot of other things I wasn't even aware of. I figured that some small tufts of hair were growing in my armpits but didn't think it was a problem. Girls at school were always telling me to lift my arms, then laughing at me uncontrollably...

Re: Inspiring TED talk on depression

Real depression isn't being sad when something in your life goes wrong. Real depression is being sad when everything in your life is going right.
At that point, I broke down. That's more truth than I can handle.
