Episode 231: Lisa Richards
I respectfully disagree with the letter that Paul started off reading. There is zero evidence that the South Carolina shooter didn't have a mental illness. If he grew up in a racist environment, there is a good chance it was undiagnosed, wouldn't you say? I actually don't believe babies are born mea...

Woman jumps from overpass to her death
http://www.twincities.com/localnews/ci_28364363/i-35w-pedestrian-killed-during-rush-hour It was a challenge finding the right forum for this. Whrn I first read this, I was saddened for everyone involved. My immediate reaction, having dealt with depression and suicidal thoughts, was not to judge the ...

"Everybody's got a good shit story" - Paul It was The Shit Show, basically. lol :) Paul said that early on in the podcast, and then went on to admit he's been constipated for a while. So I now know he's got a good shit story, however, it isn't a recent one... (My, this show is intima...

Re: Matt Oswalt
Well, as far as the discussions on the podcast, you have to remember, Paul isn't a mental health professional. Plus, his personality is going to mesh with each person's a bit differently. I honestly don't blame him for leaving the forum mostly to the fans. The podcast itself has to be all-consuming....

Re: Matt Oswalt
Issue I have with Matt: He is exactly who he complains about. Let me explain. A pet peeve for him is when celebs who "have it all" post pitiful tweets to try and be funny. Well...... Matt himself has posted a number of things that reveal stuff about his life.... He lives in a pretty decent...

Re: Ways To Beat Depression Without Meds
I went on for years without meds not because of insurance, but because I didn't want to be dependent on a substance, even if it was legal. And also because of the side-effects. What I did to cope was exercise, eat right (protein is the building block for your neurotransmitters, read Mood Cure by Ju...

I love the message board username FuckfaceTheGreat. I love your list. It made me laugh. These are my faves: I love when I use a frying pan for something and I run it, still hot, under the sink it makes a loud sizzle and steam billows off and I feel like I'm in an Asian restaurant. I love a good bowl...

Re: Love off :)
I love that time of fall, when the leaves have mostly turned, and are falling. You go outside on a breezy day, it's like it's literally raining leaves, because they are falling off the trees so fast. You see your neighbor across road, raking his yard, it's not too cold not too warm, you're just taki...

Re: Suicide just seems easier (TW)
All that got me through high school was the thought that things had to get better once I graduated. Now it's been almost six months, I moved across the country, I started university, some things are way better but my mental health isn't one of them. The first step toward joy and happiness, is ironi...

Re: Ways To Beat Depression Without Meds
Yes. Exactly! Great suggestions. I never say I am going to do the dishes. I tell myself I am going to do FIVE dishes. (Note: That usually feels good and end up doing more, or all). I understand this completely. That is the only way I can get most things done. Its literally like that movie What About...
