I've always been a fan of The Alarm, finally getting to see them in concert after waiting 35 years.

Re: Bipolar I, Bipolar II and Mood disorder NOS??
I’ve been diagnosed several times, with BiPolar I winning a best of five series 3 -2. The reaction to this ranged from “Yeah, no shit” to people saying they’d never even guess I had a problem to begin with. I’ve always wondered if others were shocked or not when they revealed what their diagnosis wa...

Re: Misophonia
I’ve always wondered if I may have this as the symptoms appear to be very familiar. I can remember as far back as high school (30+ years ago) and telling a girl to stop talking because the sound her voice was driving me crazy. She didn’t react well. Another time, 20 years later, I suddenly asked a c...

Lithium and weight gain
Hi, I've been on Lithium 600 mg, twice daily for Bipolar 1 for close to five years now. Personally, I think it's a wonder drug for me combined with regular counseling and routine blood work. The down side is I've gained close to 10 pounds that I can't seem to shed. It's not drastic on an appearance ...

Re: Making the jump to support groups
Under 2 weeks from being 20 years sober. Your addiction will give you a thousand reasons NOT to go and they'll sound legit until the second you walk into your first meeting. I remember the doors seeming they were six football fields away until I was finally able to tell that voice saying "blow ...

Actions or Behaviors that will cause an immediate dislike...
I wanted to toss this out there, but there are certain everyday things that people do that makes it so the only way I'd every want to talk to them is if I was on fire and they were holding a bucket of water. These are really silly things to most, but I'd like to know if the following bothers anyone ...

Re: Hey now!
Thanks for replying and I really appreciate the kind words for the upcoming milestone. I’ll actually be relieved with it’s August 19t because it’s take the onus away a bit ( as in 20 years and 1 day, 20 years an 2 days…) My wife stopped right with me, I feel like she never gets the credit that I do....

Hey now!
New listener from Stoneham, Massachusetts. I found out about the podcast purely by accident as I was on a true crime story and it got a one-off mention. I've only heard a couple, but it's been positive enough to really get into. I was diagnosed with Bipolar I (or II, they couldn't really nail it dow...
