I just wanted to say hi to the group. My depression is in check today. I have a history of addiction to drugs and sex. I've been sober a while from both. When I feel stressed or overwhelmed I can't resist a nap. I try not to beat myself up because its a lot better than what I used to do to avoid my feelings. Progress not perfection.

I love to nap

Re: I love to nap
Hi Rich,
I think this is a good place to be and welcome... thank you for your honesty. I can relate to exactly what you are going through as I have had all the afflictions minus drugs. Sheet therapy is one I have used many times. It is better than going back to the other addictions. Are you getting help? For me, it is all too difficult to do alone. Take are and be kind to yourself. I use naps as "therapy" too. My only goal is to try to keep "nap" from becoming "I'll just sleep until tomorrow".

Re: I love to nap
God I wish I could sleep for two days to recover from one day of "normal" activity. This falls outside of the definition of a "nap"!
