Hello friends!

Post by Dopamine Fiend »

At least, I hope you are friends.... Hehe well my phone's battery will die soon so I must make this quick. I've been listening to the podcast for a little while (6 months maybe) and I absolutely love it. I figure that anybody who comes here loves it too, and I think we all probably love it for the same reason. Paul is awesome, hilarious, and a beautiful human being and I think we should all support his dream of doing the podcast for a living.

About me: well, I'm 24, I still live at home with my father (no money!), I work at Tim Horton's (Canadian coffee chain with some US locations), annnnnnd well I'm an addict (no matter how much I'd like to pretend I'm not). I've suffered from depression on and off since the beginning of high school. I'm moody (up & down, happy & sad) and I have a good amount of anger and darkness (never expressed outwardly, for some reason). The biggest thing that makes me feel bad is that I can recognize my potential to be something greater, but I just waste my time being unproductive (video games have the illusion of accomplishment!). I have so much passion and love inside of me, but I cannot find anywhere to put it. I could go on and on but this is only supposed to be an intro...

So... HI! I'm looking forward to finding people just as crazy or messed up as me.

And, I love you <3

I love you too! And I'm really fond of Oxytocin.

You sound like a cool person (although I fell in love with Tim Horton's while I was in Alberta, so I may be biased), clever and funny. I hope to hear more from you around the forum. Protip: post counts are kinda like achievement points.

Anyway, welcome!
xoxo,
Chel

Hmm I seem to remember reading an article about oxytocin when I was trying to figure out why sad music feels so good to listen to. I don't think it's the same one I read before but I just quickly found this, a similar article.

I find it interesting (specifically the 6th paragraph down), but I'll save my thoughts for when I begin exploring the rest of the forum.

Oh yea... That's a good way of looking at it. Whether I like it or not, my brain already treats them that way. At least these points have more real-world value than Gamerscore :D

I love Canada, I dunno why people make fun of it so much... :P

Anyways, thanks for the welcome, and I'll catch ya'll in the real discussion space!
