My name is Theresa.

Post by Third »

I-m currently dealing with a lot of heavy issues and am wanting to join a community of people who understand. I lost my boyfriend to suicide in October of 2014. I attempted myself in January of 2016. I-m now struggling with depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and alcohol issues. I guess these are just the low-lights of who I am. Sooo.. I used to enjoy running, dancing, and reading.

Today is a difficult day, for some reason. I-m remembering time spent with Steve (my boyfriend who killed himself) on a trip we took around this time in 2014. I miss him so badly. I have a boyfriend now, but I think he doesn't really understand the trauma I-ve been through.

I hear what you are saying about suicidal ideation. Here are some resources for survivors of suicide.

Welcome

It's only natural to be afraid of your choices, especially when they're compelling ones. But if there is one thing I've learnt it's that that fear doesn't make anything in any way, inevitable. It just makes alternatives more difficult, less clear, less immediate, less all-in-one.

Also this isn't happening because of who you are. But it is happening. Even though there might be a lot of static now, trust your instincts.
