Future Social Work student here
Hello everyone! I've been listening to the podcast for about a year at the recommendation of a co-worker who heard Cynthia Pena, ACSW on the podcast. I have been hooked ever since. I feel like hearing people's stories and their point of view is so important to hear. I actually want to be a Veterinary Social Worker (I am a Vet Technician now) but I still feel connected to people by hearing what kind of struggles that other people have gone through. I have gone through a lot of loss over the last 5 years and there has been a lot of healing that I've gone through but there is still so much that I haven't dealt with. Really, I wanted to take a moment to thank Paul Gilmartin. You have brought a lot of challenges in other people's experiences into the light and for me, it makes me feel more connected to people who have gone through some serious shit. I have gone through my own trauma and I do not feel like it is as severe as many other people who you have had on your show, but I still always take something away from every person that you have interviewed and that is special to me. So thank you!
