She says she's tired of life, she must be tired of something.....
In a nutshell, I'm a 47 year old kid who wonders why her knees and back have been hurting for 10 years. My soul has been hurting for at least 37 years.

Re: tired of something
I know that feeling. I'm a 42 year old, scared ten year old. My soul doesn't hurt as much as it used to all my life, but I've got thirty years catching up to do. I don't think, I can catch up all the time lost, but I don't feel as stuck as I used to. I think the early damage we took and the years of damage we endured, we can get that back or fix it entirely. But I think getting in touch with it, accepting our stories, maybe we can leave some of it behind.
Round here we're never sent to bed early
And nobody makes us wait
Round here we stay up very, very late.

I have fibromyalgia...I know it's coming from my mental illness, but I don't want to admit it to myself... I fear that if I try and deal with all of my problems, I will sink and be hospitalized... It's why I keep trying to be strong and "get things done." And of course, I crash and can't lift a finger I'm so depressed and immobilized...that's what's happening to me right now...

Hey Shel,
Love that band, love that song (it didn't surprise me too much when I read one time that Adam Duritz had struggled with mental illness), and really relate to your post. It was so brief but you expressed well what a lot of us here seem to feel. Please keep posting and take care,
