Hello everyone.
I have had clinical depression since 12 years old. For some reason I can easily hide this from most during day to day interactons. I have been denying my comedic nature for a very long time. But for some reason making people laugh has come easily to me. I guess one of the best ways to really understand the comedy in life is by understanding the inner pain in ones own life. I hope by interacting with other depressive comics I will learn to embrace my true self.

welcome to the forums, bellsage. i don't think you'll find too many other depressed comedians here, besides Paul. plenty of creative people to share with, though.

Bellsage,
Welcome. Though I enjoy making people laugh, I didn't really start feeling peace until I looked at what my comedy was a defense mechanism for, and address it. I still like making people laugh, but now I do it because I choose to, not because I HAVE to.
