Episode 225: Joe and June

Post by melalerve »

With regard to Joe's orgasm difficulties, I find it absolutely baffling how they don't even consider the elephant in the room. Circumcision amputates all of the most sensitive areas of the penis. And even though it doesn't have the same level of drastic side effects in every circumcised guy, it most certainly doesn't help matters. And especially if the man cannot ejaculate during intercourse, and in the absence of any other relevant physiological or mental conditions, I'd suggest that having the most sensitive parts amputated from your sex organ is the most obvious candidate for an explanation. To not even consider it as at least possibly contributing to the problem is in my humble opinion, sorry to be blunt, outright ridiculous.

Haven't listened yet but recap:
The Israeli couple talk about their childhoods, how they try to support each other and finding emotional and sexual satisfaction given their individual issues.

An update to my "awfulsome" moment that Paul read in the first segment of the show: I loaned the guy the money...haven't heard from him in four days. I know he's dealing with withdrawal and also in under a work deadline, but I'm pretty much feeling like shit.

I really liked this interview and in particular I liked Joe's discussion of his inability to climax during coitus. In the last 15 years or so we have seen medications like Viagra and endless discussions and marketing focusing on a man's ability to achieve an erection, like this is the be-all and end-all of male sexual dysfunction.
I have heard very little discussion on difficulties climaxing on the fact that Viagra could make climaxing difficult or impossible to climax. That has certainly been the case when I have taken it.

Does any one know what the serial killer documentary series Paul was talking about and/or where I can find it?

I'm not sure if Paul was referring to an actual series or more of a generic trope.

Just one well-meant piece of advice though, if you're about to embark on a binge-watching spree of serial killer documentaries, please do yourself a favor and make Confessions of a Mafia Hitman the very last one you watch, because it will probably be the last serial killer doc you'll ever want to watch. It's about a guy who basically had a typical serial killer mindset, but he was employed by the mafia to kill people for them. Scariest stuff I've ever seen, and it's really just an interview where the guy talks about his crimes.
