One of the things that I enjoyed about this episode was that Julian said that he couldn't (didn't) ascribe his early sexual explorations to some kind of sexual abuse that may have happened to him. Nearly every person who has had experiences like his, are encouraged to find or attempt to find some lecherous adult who took advantage of them as a child. I was surprised that Paul didn't push this issue a bit more with Julian. Perhaps it was the assurance with which Julian spoke. His opinion on this was a sort of relief to me in that I, too, had many sexual explorations from an early age but I can't remember any kind of sexual exploitation in my life prior to when these explorations started. Of course, I will probably never know if something did or didn't happen, it was comforting to hear that nothing happening was a possibility as well.
