I think we can disagree with Tyler and other Christians without necessarily being rude about it. Which is not to say that rudeness isn't sometimes a valid response. And I don't want to tell anybody else how to act. But I don't think anything Paul or Tyler talked about deserves swearing at them or calling them lunatics.

That being said, I agree that spirituality and religion (Christian or otherwise) is not a necessary thing for getting help with mental issues. In fact, my opinion has always been the opposite of Tyler's. The fact that I don't believe in any god spurs me to work harder to get help for myself from the people who do exist. I don't have anything spiritual or supernatural to fall back on. And that's a tiny bit scary, but it also lights a fire under my ass. I know I can't just sit back and let a god or other divine being help me. And I know that my issues are not the result of some thing testing me or not caring about me. It's biological and mental, and it's addressing things on that level that actually helps me.
