Books on CBT for anxiety

I believe in the power of CBT. In my practice I see people across the lifespan with numerous issues but my interest lies in adults and teens with anxiety-based issues. I am also well versed with adoption and attachment issues. Additionally I am certified in Animal Assisted Psychotherapy.

Books on CBT for anxiety

Post by fennec »

Hello. I was wondering if you could recommend a good book or two on CBT for anxiety.

Thanks for volunteering to answer questions!

I'm particularly fond of workbooks for CBT. Because CBT is activity based.

I use this one:

http://www.amazon.com/Anxiety-Phobia-Wo ... or+anxiety

In my work pretty regularly. It's fairly easy to digest and could be worked through without help if need be.

I also use this one:

http://www.amazon.com/Mindfulness-Accep ... or+anxiety

Which comes with a CD with guided meditations on it. And I find guided meditations are especially helpful for people with anxiety.

Go through the mental pod amazon link if you purchase!
