I am meeting a therapist! Like right now

Post by oak »

I am nervous.

I am using my words for needs I am experiencing. I am worthy of professional care.

That is what I am telling myself.

Wish me luck !

Oak, your worth is obvious to anyone who at a bare minimum opens their eyes to you. I have said it before, but I mean it, I am proud to call you my friend.

Thanks fellas!

It went great. Really wonderful.

She was both kind and challenging.

She gave me tools to handle anxious moments.

(I struggle to say the following, because of the nearly 25 years I've been working, I've been working poor until last year. The difference between working poverty and how I am treated now-see below- as an entry-level white collar employee is jarring, very difficult. Being white collar opens many doors, doors I could only dream of a few years ago. This is very difficult to share.)

Tomorrow I am going to my doctor, and meeting with my financial advisor.

Thank you for letting me share. It is very difficult to accept that I am worthy of professional care. It is very difficult.
