I've done a cursory look around for stuff in my area (east/central Los Angeles), but I'm not sure where to find good ones. Does anyone have any good site (or group, for that matter) suggestions?
Thx,

Re: Good place to find local support groups?
nami.org is a good place to start. Not every place has local support support groups, unfortunately, but a city the size of Los Angeles definitely will.
My rule of thumb is this: Any municipality with buildings tall enough to kill you if you fall off of them almost certainly has all the mental health resources you're likely to need. But if a fall from the tallest building in town would likely only injure you, it's a little more hit-or-miss.
